Advocacy Arizona Resources
The resources provided in the links to the right, provide important supplementary resources for your Physical Education colleagues, parents, school administrators and policy makers. They can be used to provide background information about numerous issues related to maximizing opportunities for quality physical education in school settings, as well as other physical activity opportunities for students throughout the school day and non-school days.
The resources include short research and policy briefs that summarize important research finding on topics such as the importance of physical activity, the relationship of physical education/-activity with academic achievement, the importance of recess, and so on. These are important materials to help inform parents and policy makers (e.g., school principals, school boards, state legislators) in support of possible testimonies or presentations to these audiences. Check back periodically to find updates.
